About the Role
WOW Recruitment is collaborating with a global EdTech leader dedicated to empowering schools and fostering excellent teaching worldwide. With a wide international presence and a diverse product range supporting thousands of schools across major markets, the company is expanding significantly within the ANZ region.
They are establishing a new Presales Engineer role aimed at connecting Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams. This unique position offers the chance to develop the pre-sales function from scratch, collaborating with strategic clients to design tailored solutions, address complex technical challenges, and influence the company's future direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Trusted Technical Advisor by understanding customer technical needs, business challenges, and objectives to craft actionable solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between Commercial and Technical divisions, working with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to transform client requirements into scalable and commercially sound solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, facilitating meetings, solution design sessions, architectural conversations, and early integrations throughout the sales process.
- Establish pre-sales processes, frameworks, and best practices, helping to shape this newly created function within the business.
- Support customer success by guiding strategic opportunities from discovery to adoption, ensuring clients gain maximum value while contributing to company growth.
Candidate Profile
- Combines technical expertise with commercial insight, adept at translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Solid experience in SaaS environments, familiar with APIs, system integrations, cloud platforms, and technical architectures; experience with AWS is a plus.
- Customer-oriented, with excellent listening skills to identify challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Effective communicator who can engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across various teams.
- Proactive in building new functions, comfortable with evolving environments, taking initiative, and refining processes.

Salary range: AUD 160,000 to 180,000 base, plus superannuation and bonus components.
