About the Role
WOW Recruitment collaborates with a global EdTech company dedicated to empowering schools and enhancing teaching excellence worldwide. This organisation boasts a strong presence across international markets and offers a diverse range of products that support thousands of schools globally. As they expand their operations in Australia and New Zealand, they are introducing a new role of Solutions Engineer based in Melbourne.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical advisor by partnering with customers to deeply understand their technical needs, business challenges, and long-term goals to design impactful solutions.
- Act as a liaison between commercial and technical departments by collaborating with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to convert customer requirements into scalable and commercially sound solutions.
- Lead technical discussions during customer meetings, solution design sessions, architectural reviews, and early integration stages throughout the sales process.
- Build and develop the pre-sales function by establishing processes, frameworks, and best practices, playing a key role in shaping its growth.
- Drive customer success by supporting strategic opportunities from initial discovery through to adoption, assisting clients in maximising value while contributing to overall business growth.
Candidate Profile
- Possess strong commercial acumen combined with technical expertise, capable of translating complex technical concepts into commercially viable outcomes.
- Have a solid background in SaaS technologies, including familiarity with APIs, integrations, cloud infrastructure, and technical architectures; exposure to AWS is a plus.
- Exhibit a customer-centric approach with excellent listening skills, focusing on understanding customer pain points before proposing solutions.
- Excel in communication, able to build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and thrive in multidisciplinary team environments.
- Demonstrate comfort with building new functions and processes, showing initiative in creating structure and driving improvements in dynamic and evolving work settings.
