Leveraging proprietary Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) and Electronic Integrated Circuit (EIC) design expertise, they collaborate with large-scale CMOS foundries to produce innovative products.
Role Overview
As a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer, you will immediately work autonomously within a dynamic international team. Your contributions will center around designing and advancing electro-optical transceiver chips alongside domain specialists, pushing the boundaries in this evolving sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop DC operational amplifiers, bias circuits, digital logic gates, analog multiplexers, and high-speed analog circuits utilizing CMOS or BiCMOS technologies.
- Construct hierarchical chip architectures within the Cadence design environment.
- Create auxiliary circuitry to interface analog ICs with standard digital control interfaces such as I2C and SPI employing IP blocks.
- Employ advanced layout methodologies to optimize current density, reduce parasitic effects, and ensure precise device matching.
- Design pad frames for various packaging technologies including die bonding, flip-chip, micro-bumps, and micro-Cu-pillar, alongside corresponding netlist development.
- Engineer biasing blocks that maintain temperature independence by utilizing bandgap references.
- Establish and follow robust design methodologies and workflows guaranteeing superior quality deliverables.
- Partner with photonic design specialists to co-develop electro-optical systems meeting rigorous performance criteria across all technology process corners.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience designing integrated circuits in CMOS or BiCMOS, specializing in Bandgap references, current biasing, current references, operational amplifiers, voltage regulators, comparators, and control loops such as Automatic Gain Control.
- Proven expertise with EIC design platforms, particularly Cadence Virtuoso, and a track record of delivering tangible products.
- Comprehensive understanding of chip-level design flows emphasizing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) coupled with a focus on consistent product quality and reliability.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and capability to thrive in collaborative, team-driven, and fast-paced environments.
