Job description
Overview
NHS Fife is currently seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join the Support Services team at Queen Margaret Hospital as a Porter/Driver. The primary responsibility is operating a 13-seat minibus, transporting children safely between Queen Margaret Hospital and Gordon Cottage, Kelty, in support of the Child Development Centre.
Key Duties
- Drive a 13-seat minibus daily between Queen Margaret Hospital and Gordon Cottage, Kelty transporting children securely.
- Perform various portering tasks such as collecting and delivering mail, goods, and supplies across the hospital site.
- Transport equipment and materials as requested to support hospital operations.
- Assist with ad hoc portering duties within the hospital premises.
- Provide operational support at Queen Margaret Hospital and Lynebank Hospital when the Child Development Centre is closed.
Other Responsibilities
The role involves routine manual handling activities with tasks varying daily based on service demands. Full uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supplied to ensure safety.
Candidate Requirements
- Must possess a valid full UK driving licence with Category D1 entitlement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Full training will be provided to support the successful candidate in all responsibilities.
