Role Overview

As a Porter at our luxury assisted living residence, you will help sustain a pristine, comfortable, and safe atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Your daily duties include keeping busy shared spaces immaculate, such as bathrooms, event rooms, stairwells, hallways, exterior areas like parking lots and sidewalks, as well as windows, carpets, and hard floors. Interactions with residents, families, guests, and colleagues require a warm, polite, and professional approach to create a consistently pleasant environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout all designated communal areas following standards set by the Housekeeping Director.
• Assist with specialized cleaning assignments and snow removal as necessary.
• Provide impeccable customer service contributing to residents' wellbeing and overall quality of life.
• Work a minimum of one weekend day weekly (Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday shifts).

Qualifications

• Possess a friendly, cheerful, and respectful attitude when engaging with peers, supervisors, residents, guests, and management.
• Demonstrate consistency, reliability, and thoroughness in performing cleaning tasks.
• Thrive in delivering cleaning services efficiently within a fast-paced setting.
• Previous experience in cleaning roles within restaurant, healthcare, hospital, hotel, hospitality, or related fields is advantageous.
• Familiarity with senior residents and their needs is preferred.
• Proficient English communication skills are required.
