Job Overview

The Porter at Jetro Restaurant Depot is tasked with maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the warehouse. This role ensures the removal of any hazards such as spills or unsafe substances for the protection of customers and employees. The Porter is also responsible for the routine upkeep of sanitation and cleaning records, compliance with HACCP program standards for cleaning equipment, and supporting additional maintenance work as directed by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep interior and exterior areas of the building.
• Clean and maintain all restrooms within the facility.
• Clean windows, doors, and coffee station areas as required.
• Manage trash receptacles across the premises.
• Operate equipment such as trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubber when necessary.
• Handle cleanup of spills in the warehouse promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness in employee break rooms according to schedule.
• Support department managers with aisle cleaning duties.
• Verify HACCP compliance and sanitation logs daily.
• Perform other maintenance duties assigned by management, including minor painting and lighting upkeep.

Job Requirements

• Effective communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with operating floor cleaning machines, balers, and compactors is advantageous.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
