Job Overview

The Porter at Jetro Restaurant Depot is tasked with ensuring cleanliness and safety across critical areas of the warehouse, protecting both customers and staff from hazards such as spills and unsafe conditions. Daily duties include maintaining sanitation logs and verifying compliance with the company's HACCP standards. Additional responsibilities may include facility upkeep like minor paint touch-ups and lighting maintenance as directed by the branch manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sweeping of indoor and outdoor areas around the facility.
• Clean and maintain restrooms throughout the warehouse.
• Clean windows, doors, and coffee stations when required.
• Manage all trash receptacles on site.
• Operate equipment such as trash compactors, cardboard balers, and floor scrubbers when necessary.
• Respond promptly to clean spills within the warehouse area.
• Maintain cleanliness of employee break rooms as scheduled.
• Support aisle cleaning in coordination with department managers.
• Ensure verification of HACCP guidelines and sanitation logs according to the outlined procedures.
• Carry out other duties assigned by management including minor facility maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Effective communication capabilities.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation practices.
• Familiarity with operating machinery like floor scrubbers, balers, and compactors is advantageous.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Information

The role involves maintaining safety and sanitation standards critical to warehouse operations. Occasional minor repairs and cleaning tasks outside the standard cleaning routine may be assigned by management to support operational efficiency.
