Job Overview

The Porter at Jetro Restaurant Depot plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the warehouse premises. This individual is responsible for keeping all facility areas clean, ensuring the environment is safe from hazards such as spills or substances, and documenting sanitation and cleaning activities daily. The Porter also adheres to the company's HACCP standards for cleaning equipment and supports additional maintenance tasks as directed by the branch manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sweeping inside and outside the building to maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain restrooms by cleaning and upkeep regularly.
• Clean windows, doors, and coffee areas as needed to ensure tidiness.
• Manage trash receptacles and maintain order on the premises.
• Operate equipment such as trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing machines when required.
• Handle immediate spill cleanup in the warehouse to prevent hazards.
• Maintain cleanliness in employee break rooms according to schedule.
• Assist aisle cleaning alongside departmental managers when necessary.
• Verify compliance with HACCP sanitation guidelines and keep accurate sanitation logs.
• Support management with additional duties such as minor painting touchups, wet pallet cleaning, and lighting maintenance.

Job Requirements

• Effective communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation procedures and guidelines.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn operating floor machines, balers, and compactors is advantageous.
• Capability to lift and handle weights up to 50 pounds safely.
