Job Summary

The Porter at Jetro Restaurant Depot ensures that all critical warehouse areas remain clean and safe for both customers and employees. This role involves promptly addressing any hazardous liquids or substances. Maintaining daily Sanitation and Cleaning Logs as per company standards is required, alongside adherence to equipment maintenance following the HACCP program. The porter may also undertake additional duties assigned by management such as minor painting, wet pallet cleaning, and lighting upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general sweeping inside and outside the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all restrooms.
• Clean windows, doors, and coffee areas as necessary.
• Manage trash containers throughout the premises.
• Operate equipment such as trash compactors, cardboard balers, and floor scrubbers when required.
• Address spills in the warehouse immediately to maintain safety.
• Clean employee break rooms according to schedule.
• Support department managers in aisle cleaning.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and verify sanitation logs daily.
• Carry out other management-assigned duties as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess effective communication abilities.
• Understand fundamental sanitation practices.
• Familiarity with operating floor machines, balers, and compactors is advantageous.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
