Role Overview
The PMIS Data Migration Lead is tasked with overseeing the planning, management, and execution of data migration projects specifically within Oracle Unifier environments, including implementations, upgrades, and broader transformation initiatives. This role emphasizes ensuring the accurate and compliant migration of both historical and active project datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and define the overall migration strategy, including the approach and methodology.
- Set up governance frameworks and validation procedures for migrations.
- Create detailed migration plans and timelines.
- Conduct analysis of existing legacy systems to understand data sources.
- Establish mappings between source data and target platforms.
- Perform data profiling and identify gaps in data quality or coverage.
- Manage activities related to cleansing, standardizing, and enhancing data.
- Develop rules for data validation and reconciliation to ensure data integrity.
- Address and resolve issues related to data quality.
- Manage the execution of both mock (test) and actual production migrations.
- Support activities for cutover planning and assist during go-live phases.
- Conduct reconciliation post-migration to verify data accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the process.
- Oversee the process of migration approvals and final sign-offs.
Technical and Professional Requirements
- Strong experience with Oracle Primavera Unifier data migration projects.
- Proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Advanced skills in SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
- Expertise in data mapping between various systems.
- Knowledge of data quality management and governance frameworks.
- Ability to apply data reconciliation techniques effectively.
- Competency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
- 6 to 12 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated involvement in at least five Oracle Unifier migration projects.
- Experience migrating various data types including projects, cost data, contracts, documents, asset records, and historical PMIS data.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 migration processes.
- Experience with Oracle ERP or Fusion migrations.
- Participation in large-scale PMIS transformation programs.
