Role Overview
We are seeking a Playwright Automation Test Engineer with 5 to 9 years of experience to join our Chennai location. The role demands expertise in implementing automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript, alongside API testing and framework design.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright in TypeScript, including API invocation and validation with REST/JSON.
- Implement data-driven testing by loading test data from Excel, CSV, or JSON files using libraries like pandas and openpyxl.
- Utilize Typescript testing tools and libraries such as pytest/unittest, logging modules, JSON handling, datetime processing, and pathlib.
- Design robust framework components using Page Object Model (POM), fixtures, parameterization, reusable helpers, and configuration management.
- Manage test environments effectively, including stubbing and mocking services and handling environment-specific configurations.
- Demonstrate previous automation projects by explaining test scenarios and rationales behind framework design decisions.
- Understand and work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control systems like Git, and basic Docker usage.
- Perform live/demo tasks involving Playwright-based UI flow and API interaction tests with Excel-driven parameterization.
