Role Overview
This permanent position is for a reputable Big5 client associated with Careernet, seeking a highly experienced Cloud Platform Engineer. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, focusing on infrastructure-as-code automation, Kubernetes engineering, DevOps toolchains, and solid networking and security practices across Linux and Windows systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement scalable cloud infrastructure architectures.
- Develop and maintain automation pipelines using infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
- Engineer and support Kubernetes clusters and environments.
- Design and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows.
- Ensure best practices in cloud networking, including VPNs, software-defined networking, load balancing, DNS, API gateways, and routing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and infrastructure-related issues.
- Collaborate across various teams to achieve operational goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes and boost automation efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 13 years experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps-related roles.
- At least 5 years of practical experience with major cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on work with Kubernetes engineering.
- Proficiency with automation tools like Terraform, Packer, and Puppet.
- Experience managing code repositories using Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Deep knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including VPNs, SDN, load balancers, DNS, API gateways, and routing.
- Strong understanding of cloud security standards and compliance requirements.
- Competence in managing both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Awareness of GitOps principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical abilities combined with strong communication skills.
Preferred Credentials
- Certifications in Kubernetes administration or application design (CKA or CKAD).
- Experience with monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Capability in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of GitOps tools including FluxCD and ArgoCD.
- Experience working with artifact repository managers such as JFrog Artifactory.
- Relevant cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Over 13 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering emphasizing automation and public cloud platforms.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Provide mentorship and assign tasks to junior engineering staff.
- Work cooperatively with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions.
- Exercise independent judgment to resolve complex infrastructure and operational challenges.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Additional Information
Salary for this role ranges between ₹30,00,000 and ₹50,00,000 annually.
