Job Purpose

As a Lead Planning Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Control Manager and integrate within the Project Control (PCON) Department to oversee planning activities on offshore oil and gas projects centered on process platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, continuously update, and maintain comprehensive project schedules for offshore oil and gas ventures involving process platforms.
• Track project progress carefully, detect any divergence from established baseline schedules, and recommend or enforce corrective measures.
• Synchronize activities across engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning teams to meet project deadlines.
• Conduct schedule-related risk analyses and manage associated risk registers.
• Compile and present weekly and monthly progress reports detailing project status.
• Support activities related to contract modifications, claim preparation, and analysis of delays.
• Engage in project closure processes including compiling lessons learned and providing feedback to pertinent departments.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Senior Planning Engineers and Planning Engineers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Between 7 and 10 years of professional experience working on offshore Oil & Gas projects focused on process platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and leading planning teams successfully.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is considered advantageous.

• This is a project-based permanent position located at our Qatar office.
• Standard working week comprises 45 hours, organized as 9 hours per day for 5 days.
