Dexcom Corporation is a pioneering global leader in continuous glucose monitoring technology dedicated to revolutionizing diabetes management and expanding its mission to empower individuals in managing health through innovative biosensing solutions. Founded 25 years ago, the company has grown substantially while maintaining a vision to become a leading consumer health technology firm addressing serious health challenges worldwide.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planner will play a pivotal role in production planning and operational management by developing and controlling detailed, finite, capacity-constrained production schedules. This role translates Master Production Schedules (MPS) into actionable, executable shop floor plans, ensuring alignment with available capacity, material status, and demand priorities to achieve schedule adherence, stability, and optimal operational outcomes as prescribed by Dexcom's Class A Playbook.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and oversee detailed finite production schedules considering equipment capacity, labor resources, shift patterns, material availability, changeovers, and sequencing limitations.
- Convert the Master Production Schedule into precise execution plans that break down production into daily and hourly segments.
- Optimize production sequencing to enhance throughput efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with scheduled production timing and quantities across operational units.
- Conduct regular daily and weekly review meetings to identify inconsistencies and implement corrective measures.
- Identify bottlenecks and capacity limitations within production workflows.
- Adjust production schedules dynamically to maintain alignment with evolving business priorities.
- Support structured change control and approval mechanisms for scheduling adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve risks related to production execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge of finite scheduling concepts, MRP/MPS processes, and capacity planning methodologies.
- Proficient and advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Copilot, Outlook, Teams, and preferably Smartsheets.
- Experience operating ERP and MRP systems.
- Background in medical device manufacturing or consumer packaged goods industries is desirable.
- Experience working with distribution networks is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, PLM, and Anaplan systems is advantageous.
Additional Information
The annual gross salary range for this position is €47,515 to €61,490, with the final compensation contingent on qualifications and experience. Dexcom is committed to an inclusive recruitment process and offers reasonable accommodations upon request. The company does not accept unsolicited resumes from agencies and uses AI-assisted tools to enhance hiring efficiency, with all final decisions made by humans.
