Role Overview and Shift Pattern
The Engineering Technician 3 operates on a front-end, day-shift schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM every Monday through Wednesday and alternate Thursdays, following a repeating 4-day-on/3-days-off then 3-day-on/4-days-off pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering data from production lines, including yield and performance metrics.
- Conduct performance tests on electro-mechanical assemblies using appropriate test equipment.
- Operate, test, and maintain robotic machinery and vision inspection systems.
- Document and assess test results, preparing detailed written reports.
- Troubleshoot and perform fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
- Support equipment development tasks under project engineer supervision, including assembly, testing, and validation of equipment, fixtures, processes, and electronic components.
- Adhere to Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures consistently.
- Update and maintain equipment documentation such as manuals, drawings, and specifications as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned while complying with all safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Typically holds a Level 6 or 7 qualification with at least 5 to 8 years relevant experience.
- Proficient with problem-solving techniques such as A3 problem solving and the "5 Whys" method.
- Experience using software tools like Minitab for data analysis and Tableau for visualization.
- Familiarity supporting Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) processes.
- Ability to interpret scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
- Strong capability in preparing routine reports, shift handovers, and correspondence.
- Effective communication skills to interact with supervisors, engineers, and management.
- Track record of working hands-on within fast-paced, high reliability, high volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledgeable in process improvement initiatives aiming at yield enhancement and downtime reduction.
- Experienced in technical writing concerning manufacturing documentation and process development, including creation and revision of technical manuals.

Additional Information
The role requires approximately 10% travel. The annual base salary range is €43,095 to €55,770 gross depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
