About the Role
Join BAM UK & Ireland as a Planner within our building team based in County Kildare, where you will contribute to projects that enhance communities and deliver impactful infrastructure. This position offers the chance to collaborate on some of Ireland’s largest and most innovative construction and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain project schedules using software tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta.
- Monitor and measure project progress continuously and prepare comprehensive progress reports.
- Coordinate scheduling activities with site management, design teams, and contractors to ensure alignment.
- Maintain contract programmes and oversee subcontractor progress.
- Develop and track key performance indicators related to project timelines.
- Extract quantity measurements from drawings to support progress reporting.
- Support integration of scheduling programmes with BIM models for 4D planning purposes.
- Offer strategic guidance aimed at safeguarding project growth and development.
- Collaborate flexibly within the team to allocate work efficiently as requirements arise.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum two years of planning experience, ideally within building construction and main contractor settings.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and lead times.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and apply critical path analysis and network programming.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills essential for integrated project delivery.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Possess a full driving license and be eligible to work in Ireland; fluency in English required.
