Our Donegal location is looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a skilled team working on major construction, civil, and facilities management projects across Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on contractual issues at both general and project levels.
- Manage contractual claims and maintain accurate records related to them.
- Identify and pursue revenue enhancement opportunities, cost reduction, and investigate financial losses.
- Support cash flow management for projects.
- Handle project correspondence with advice and support.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with subcontractors and suppliers, including pricing and contract terms.
- Ensure timely closure of final accounts.
- Draft commercial and contractual correspondence punctually.
- Prepare documentation for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Compile and analyze monthly cost reports.
- Maintain and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time trackers each month, incorporating them into monthly reports.
- Negotiate final accounts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Measure and price variations accurately.
- Engage in variation negotiations involving clients, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors.
Candidate Profile
- Strong expertise in advising on contracts across projects.
- Proficient in managing contractual claims and record-keeping.
- Skilled at financial optimization, cost control, and loss investigation.
- Experience in project cash flow oversight.
- Competent in managing official project communications.
- Ability to negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers effectively.
- Track record of closing final accounts promptly.
- Capability to draft required commercial and contract-related documents on time.
- Skilled in preparation of subcontractor and supplier documentation.
- Knowledgeable in preparing and reviewing comprehensive monthly cost analyses.
- Experienced in updating risk and variation management tools regularly.
- Effective negotiation skills for subcontractor and supplier final accounts.
- Proficient in assessing and pricing project variations.
- Adept at negotiating variations with relevant stakeholders.
