About the Role

As a Picker at Booker, you will play a crucial role in exceeding customer expectations through versatile duties within the store. Your daily tasks may include shelf replenishment, operating the cash tills, monitoring stock levels, and selecting goods for delivery. Every responsibility you undertake contributes directly to providing fast and efficient service, ensuring customers receive everything they require.

Key Responsibilities

• Select and prepare goods accurately for dispatch using a handheld terminal, promptly informing the Manager of any discrepancies.
• Inspect product quality, verify shelf life, and confirm packaging strength to suit delivery needs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by efficiently processing deliveries within set targets.
• Maintain politeness and professionalism when interacting with delivery personnel, handling queries or complaints by escalating complex issues appropriately.

• A proactive, can-do mentality comfortable with meeting assigned picking rate goals.
• Strong passion for customer service coupled with a readiness to extend extra effort when serving customers.
• Reliability demonstrated by punctuality, consistent presence, and professional appearance.
