Pick & Prep Clerk Full Time

Overview

Join our team to prepare Pick & Prep products, delivering excellent product preparation services that create a memorable sensory experience for every guest. This role requires maintaining or exceeding company standards while engaging customers actively.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers enthusiastically through product preparation, active sampling, and suggestive selling techniques.
• Provide exceptional guest service consistently, including storytelling about products emphasizing characteristics like freshness, health benefits, seasonality, and local sourcing.
• Showcase proficient knife skills as a demonstration of available services within the Pick & Prep department.
• Follow strict merchandising and operational guidelines while running the Pick & Prep section.
• Ensure all products meet Lowes Foods’ quality standards before sale.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in compliance with company policies throughout the department.
• Carry out product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and guest services as needed to meet company expectations.
• Perform public address system announcements when required.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Possess a friendly and outgoing demeanor with the ability to engage customers actively.
• Enjoy interacting with guests and having fun while doing so.
• Work effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Familiarity with Pick & Prep operational tasks.
• Willingness and ability to learn multiple duties including technical skills such as knife handling.
• Demonstrate strong communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Physically able to bend, kneel, and stand for long durations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions from management.
• Competency in working with computer systems and weighing scales.
