Deli Clerk Full-Time

Overview

This position involves delivering outstanding customer service within the deli department through a variety of operational tasks.

Starting wage: $15 per hour.

Primary Duties

• Greet guests warmly and courteously at all times.
• Prepare deli products for sale, which includes frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, and pricing.
• Ensure deli items are well stocked, fresh, and of high quality.
• Uphold sanitation protocols in all deli-related areas including coolers, freezers, prep, and displays.
• Relay guest inquiries or requests promptly to management.
• Report any temperature issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage and supply zones consistently.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by management.
• Carry out front porch duties to guarantee standard guest arrivals.
• Announce current specials and sales via the public address system.
• Support receiving and proper storage of product shipments.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
• Demonstrate the ability to cooperate effectively with coworkers.
• Capable of lifting 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Proficient in reading and comprehending instructions and information.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to provide great guest service and sales support.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Physical capacity to bend, kneel, and stand for extended time frames.
