Job Overview
The Photo Specialist plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by offering expert photo-related services, including digital passport photography and assistance with various customer service transactions like FedEx and Western Union. This position involves managing inventory, maintaining the photo department's organization and operational readiness, as well as promoting photo merchandise and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly engage customers at the photo counter, proactively addressing their needs and resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Exemplify customer-focused behavior consistently and encourage such practices within the team.
- Provide courteous, accurate, and efficient photo services, including digital passport photos.
- Recommend photo products and upgrades to meet customer needs and boost sales.
- Accurately handle all customer transactions, including purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges, while complying with cash handling policies.
- Manage inventory, supplies, and maintain operational readiness by monitoring stock levels to align with a three-week demand forecast.
- Complete orders for photo prints, online, and web pickups quickly and accurately.
- Support additional service offerings such as FedEx and Western Union while adhering to policy guidelines.
- Maintain photo equipment and use store technology to ensure operational efficiency and quality outcomes.
- Keep the photo department clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing, contributing to overall store standards.
- Assist in merchandising activities, seasonal displays, inventory counts, and department resets.
- Train and help develop other store personnel to ensure photo department coverage and smooth operations during absences.
- Follow company policies and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support business goals by completing additional tasks as necessary.
- Participate in training sessions and complete required e-learning courses.
Qualifications
- Must be fluent in English for reading, writing, and speaking (excluding Puerto Rico).
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred: At least six months experience working in retail environments.
- Prior experience working at Walgreens is advantageous.

The hourly salary range is $16.90 to $19.00, with actual compensation based on location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. This position will remain open until filled.
