Photo Specialist

Role Overview

This position focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience at the photo department by providing expert services such as digital passport photos and support for various transactions including FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillment. The specialist is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring product availability, processing accurate transactions, supporting merchandising efforts, and maintaining a clean and safe work area, all while supporting the achievement of business operations and goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers and proactively assist them at the photo counter, tailoring services to their specific needs and resolving any concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Consistently demonstrate and promote customer-centric behaviors and service excellence across the team, including positive interpersonal skills such as eye contact and courtesy.
• Provide courteous, accurate, and efficient photo department services including digital passport photos and product promotion.
• Recommend products, services, upgrades, and related items to meet customers’ needs and enhance sales opportunities.
• Accurately handle customer transactions including purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges while following cash handling policies.
• Manage inventory levels, maintain records, and oversee operational readiness with regard to photo supplies and products to meet forecasted customer demand.
• Fulfill photo, online, and web pickup orders with accuracy and timeliness for seamless customer service.
• Provide customer assistance for additional services like FedEx and Western Union, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain photo equipment functionality and use store technology systems to support daily operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Keep the photo area clean, organized, safe, and well merchandised; contribute to the overall store environment and appearance.
• Assist in merchandising activities including displays, promotions, inventory tasks, seasonally rotating setups, and resets.
• Support team cross-training to ensure photo department coverage during absences.
• Adhere to company policies, asset protection, and regulatory requirements to uphold a secure and compliant workplace.
• Work collaboratively with store team members and complete additional assignments to support business objectives.
• Participate in training sessions and complete assigned e-learning modules as required by management or corporate directives.

Qualifications

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is mandatory (except in Puerto Rico).
• Flexibility to work varying schedules including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred candidates have at least six months of retail experience.
• Prior experience working with Walgreens is advantageous.

Compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, education, and experience. This position remains open until filled. Hourly pay ranges between $15 and $17.50.
