Photo Specialist

Job Overview

The Photo Specialist role is focused on delivering an outstanding customer journey by offering expert photo services and handling various customer service tasks including digital passport photos, FedEx, Western Union services, and online order pickups. The person in this position will manage the photo department’s inventory and organization, monitor supply levels, and ensure the availability of products and services to meet customer demand effectively. The specialist also promotes photo-related products, supports checkout operations, handles transactions with accuracy, aids merchandising activities, and works collaboratively to maintain a safe and customer-friendly environment aligned with the company’s operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly interact with customers, identifying their photo-related needs and providing tailored assistance.
• Improve customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and delivering solutions to ensure a smooth experience.
• Promote customer-focused service behaviors and ensure all team members follow best practices in customer interactions.
• Provide efficient and courteous photo services, including digital passport photos and sales of photo products.
• Suggest additional products and service upgrades to boost sales and meet customer needs.
• Accurately process transactions such as purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges following cash handling protocols.
• Manage inventory and supplies to align with a three-week forecast of customer demand, maintaining accurate records and product readiness.
• Fulfill photo, online, and web pick-up orders promptly and accurately.
• Offer customer assistance for FedEx, Western Union, and other services, adhering to required policies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot photo equipment and utilize store technology to support daily functions.
• Keep the photo department clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing, contributing to overall store standards.
• Participate in merchandising tasks including seasonal displays and inventory management within the photo and adjacent departments.
• Help cross-train team members on photo department operations to ensure consistent service coverage.
• Comply with company procedures, asset protection, and regulatory standards to uphold store safety and security.
• Collaborate respectfully with coworkers and complete additional assignments as necessary to support store goals.

Training and Development

• Attend training sessions and complete assigned online learning modules as requested by management or corporate directives.

Qualifications

• Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills are required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred candidates have at least six months of retail experience and familiarity with Walgreens’ work environment.
