Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, dispense, and manage medication orders promptly to patients.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to fulfill patient requirements.
- Engage with patients in a friendly, proactive manner to counsel them about new and existing medications with all necessary documentation.
- Promote and educate customers through public relations events, such as health days and clinics.
- Respond promptly and effectively to patient needs and resolve doctors' requests or issues.
- Monitor and control costs within the pharmacy dispensary effectively.
- Provide continuous training and support for pharmacy staff including technicians, interns, students, and IPGs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and hold a valid Class A Pharmacist license.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills with a high level of professionalism.
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and capability in managing team performance.
- Experience in applying community-based marketing strategies to grow business.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with proven expertise in action plan development and execution.
- Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy software is an advantage.
Additional Information
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and will be subject to a criminal background check during the hiring process. Salary ranges from $50.15 to $64.90 CAD per hour, depending on experience and location.
