Overview

We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our lively hospitality team at Montana's BBQ and Bar in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. In this hands-on leadership role, you will help oversee everyday operations, ensure exceptional service delivery, and assist management in fostering a warm and efficient environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily activities to guarantee smooth restaurant or venue functioning.
  • Inspire and lead staff to provide enthusiastic and professional guest services.
  • Train employees on best hospitality practices, exceptional customer service, and effective guest interaction strategies.
  • Complete any required online training tasks.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve issues swiftly to ensure satisfaction and repeat visits.
  • Support profitability improvements through shift-level performance optimization.
  • Operate within designated labor budgets to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage cash handling processes accurately, including register opening and closing.
  • Organize reservations, seating plans, and special events to enhance guest flow and experience.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health standards.
  • Adhere to the restaurant's opening and closing routines as well as uniform policies.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial employment, human rights, safety, and WHMIS regulations.
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in hospitality or customer service positions with a focus on guest satisfaction and managing occasional displeased customers.
  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire and effectively guide team members.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members.
  • Competent in handling cash transactions responsibly and accurately.
  • Familiarity with hospitality operations such as reservation systems and service protocols is advantageous.
  • Positive outlook paired with a proactive approach to multitasking and problem-solving.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes or restaurant equipment.

Additional Information

This full-time role is based onsite in Charlottetown and offers a yearly salary ranging between $50,000 and $55,000 CAD. We are searching for motivated leaders excited to grow professionally and contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences.
