About the Role
Join the dynamic team at Winners in Moncton, New Brunswick as an Assistant Store Manager. Key Responsibilities
- Drive store success by supporting sales targets, controlling expenses, and managing various operational areas, including merchandising, backroom and frontline functions, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with a strong emphasis on reducing shrinkage and damages.
- Lead recruitment and development efforts by attracting top talent, delivering comprehensive training, and mentoring associates to foster a positive, engaging work atmosphere.
- Communicate and execute plans related to projects, goals, company initiatives, and store modifications, while contributing to succession planning for future staffing needs.
- Implement tactics to achieve sales, expense, and customer satisfaction objectives. Oversee loss prevention initiatives and optimize store layout and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- At least two years of experience in retail leadership roles such as Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
- Proven skills in leading, developing, and motivating sizeable teams.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities, capable of influencing others and delivering valuable feedback and mentorship.
- Expertise in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention, with a proactive approach to ensuring completion of tasks and initiatives.
