About the Role
Neighbourly Pharmacy seeks a full-time Pharmacist to join the team at Medi Centre Pharmacy located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. This position involves providing patient-centered pharmaceutical care and ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services including medication reviews, chronic disease management, and development of care plans.
- Administer vaccines and immunizations responsibly.
- Assess the suitability of drug therapies and monitor patients for effectiveness, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
- Offer counseling to patients on prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, and health concerns, ensuring understanding of indications, contraindications, side effects, and proper handling.
- Supervise pharmacy students or provisional pharmacists as they carry out delegated tasks within regulatory allowances.
- Uphold compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and regulatory pharmacy standards.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care outcomes.
- Support daily operational functions within the pharmacy and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists.
- Possession of an injection certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated strong organizational ability and meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-driven with capability to operate independently.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and display collaborative spirit.
