Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, dispense, and manage prescription medications efficiently.
- Maintain sufficient inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to fulfill patient requirements.
- Provide thorough and personable counseling to patients regarding new and ongoing medications.
- Promote public health awareness by engaging in community outreach initiatives such as health days and clinics.
- Address patient and physician inquiries promptly with a positive approach.
- Monitor and control costs associated with pharmacy operations.
- Deliver continuous training and mentorship to pharmacy staff including technicians, interns, students, and others.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and possession of a Class A Pharmacist license is mandatory.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and professional conduct.
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing team performance.
- Ability to grow business through community-based marketing and outreach strategies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving expertise, including planning and execution of corrective actions.
- Competent with personal computing, preferably familiar with Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy systems.
