Job description

Position Overview

Pharmasave #416 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan is seeking a dedicated full-time Front Store Clerk to become an integral part of our team. This role involves delivering warm and efficient customer service while supporting various operational activities within the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer friendly greetings and courteous assistance to all customers, addressing their inquiries with professionalism.
  • Operate the cash register with accuracy and maintain cash levels through proper change management and timely pickups.
  • Perform store stocking duties, ensuring shelves are well stocked, organized, and appealing by using effective merchandising techniques including shelf labels, product rotation, and facing.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and orderliness by completing light janitorial tasks and upkeep of product displays.
  • Comply with store security protocols, including shoplifting prevention, lottery procedures, and Control Board Order ticket handling.
  • Manage assigned product sections and report out-of-stock items to buyers to ensure inventory availability.
  • Assist with inventory upkeep and support the restocking and reordering process to maintain adequate merchandise levels.
  • Contribute to seasonal and promotional display setups to enhance store sales and visibility.
  • Handle challenging customer interactions tactfully and elevate complaints to management when necessary.
  • Collect and report customer feedback and concerns to store management to improve service.
  • Stay productive during periods without customer interaction, engaging in miscellaneous duties as directed by management.
  • Marketing experience is considered an advantageous asset.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to handle cash transactions accurately coupled with strong customer service orientation.
  • Capability to stand for extended hours and multitask efficiently within a fast-paced retail setting.
  • Clear communication skills with a courteous demeanor and good knowledge of store products.
  • Previous experience in retail merchandising, cashiering, or similar roles is beneficial.
  • Professional appearance, mature and cooperative attitude, including adherence to grooming standards and wearing a name tag.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.

Work Schedule

  • 40 hours per week across Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
  • Shifts are 8 hours long.
