Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Pega Developer (CSSA Certified) to architect, develop, and implement enterprise-grade Business Process Management (BPM) solutions using the Pega platform. The role entails designing case management workflows, automating business processes, integrating external systems, and ensuring adherence to Pega best practices and guardrails. Collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise-level Pega BPM applications, including case types, flows, UI sections, data models, business rules, and integrations.
- Configure business workflows end-to-end via Pega Case Management, creating reusable components, frameworks, and rule sets.
- Develop and integrate REST and SOAP web services, leveraging connectors, services, and file processing for secure, reliable data exchanges.
- Analyze and enhance application performance, scalability, and maintain compliance with enterprise architecture and coding standards.
- Conduct unit tests, code reviews, and produce technical documentation; assist QA teams throughout various testing stages to ensure quality deliverables.
- Engage in Agile/Scrum processes, collaborating actively with analysts, architects, product owners, and QA teams; contribute to sprint planning and support production deployments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Between 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Pega application development.
- Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) designation.
- Strong skills in Pega Case Management, including working with case types, flows, harnesses, sections, data pages, decision tables, activities, and data transforms.
- Proven experience with REST and SOAP web service integration.
- Solid understanding of Pega guardrails and industry best practices.
- Expertise in performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting BPM applications.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience operating within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Pega Customer Service Framework.
- Knowledge of Pega Decisioning or robotic process automation.
- Working experience with Oracle or SQL databases.
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Domain experience in healthcare, insurance, or banking sectors is a plus.
