- Lead the development of developer self-service features utilizing Backstage Scaffolder and reusable templates.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines using GitHub Actions and related DevOps tools.
- Offer architectural leadership on cloud-native capabilities such as secrets management, GraphQL Federation, observability, and deployment pipelines.
- Support production environments including launch readiness, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and providing technical guidance during critical incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud standards, platform architecture, and operational best practices.
- Mentor teams on cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, and platform engineering practices.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts that enhance platform reliability, scalability, security, and developer productivity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- More than 8 years of proven experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure and platform solutions.
- Extensive hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectural patterns.
- Proficiency in developing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience creating reusable infrastructure modules and deployment automation frameworks.
- Strong background in building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud-native application deployments and developer platform enablement.
- Knowledge of Backstage developer portals or self-service platform engineering concepts.
- Experience with GraphQL Federation, secrets management, observability tools, and state-of-the-art application deployment approaches.
- Comprehensive understanding of AWS networking, DNS, IAM, cloud security, and production support models.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment challenges in development and production environments.
