Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll services for multiple clients, including scheduling, processing, auditing, year-end balancing, filing, and timely remittance of third-party payments.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert by providing clients with accurate information related to payroll and statutory requirements, using available knowledge resources and tools.
  • Collaborate with technical support and production departments to resolve complex payroll issues, and contribute suggestions to improve products and processes for enhanced efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional development by achieving and upholding National Payroll Institute (NPI) certification and participating in all mandatory training sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least five years of experience processing Canadian payroll and providing client service.
  • High proficiency in internet research and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent client service aptitude and commitment to building trust and rapport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in administration, client service, or human resources.
  • Working towards or holding National Payroll Institute certification (PCP, CPM), with access to tuition and membership fee reimbursement programs.

Additional Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from CAD 59300 to CAD 94800 annually, depending on location, experience, and skills. Compensation may include bonuses, equity, or commissions.
