Payroll Officer

Job Overview

Sunset Hospitality Group is on the lookout for a meticulous HR Payroll Officer to handle key payroll duties, maintain the HR information system, and ensure adherence to labor regulations.

Key Duties

• Manage timely and precise payroll processing with strict compliance to labor laws and organizational policy.
• Update and maintain the HRIS to keep employee records accurate for payroll computation, benefits administration, and deductions.
• Validate onboarding and exit documentation to ensure payroll precision.
• Produce payroll reports, review them thoroughly, and secure approval before forwarding to the Accounting Department.
• Perform payroll reconciliations by verifying headcount, cross-checking general ledger entries, and bank statements.
• Audit timekeeping, attendance, leave records, and execute final settlements for staff leaving the company.
• Keep HR records systematically organized including leave balances and employee information accuracy.
• Analyze HR metrics to detect patterns and suggest enhancements in processes.
• Manage exit settlements promptly and correctly.
• Respond to employee queries regarding attendance, payroll discrepancies, and HRIS matters.
• Undertake additional HR-related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in payroll processing and HRIS oversight, preferably within hospitality, food and beverage, or retail sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of labor laws, payroll compliance, and financial reconciliation procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and solid analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with HR/payroll software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, complex operational environment.
