About Roche and Role Overview

Roche values individuality, encouraging open communication and authentic connections. Employees are appreciated for their unique qualities, fostering both personal and professional growth. Roche's mission is to prevent, treat, and cure diseases while ensuring access to healthcare worldwide, now and in the future. The Patient Journey Partner (PJP) is a pivotal local leader positioned at the heart of Roche's ecosystem, collaborating closely with external stakeholders to co-develop innovative, patient-centered solutions. This role intentionally excludes traditional sales or commercial targets and aims to accelerate better patient outcomes and system-wide benefits.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge by integrating external insights and Roche's scientific expertise to identify opportunities that transform patient outcomes swiftly.
  • Serve as a trusted key contact between Roche and stakeholders, voicing patient and community needs internally, prioritizing initiatives, mobilizing resources, and advancing solutions that accelerate impact.
  • Work collaboratively with the patient journey ecosystem to remove obstacles and unlock new value for patients and their communities.
  • Manage Roche products throughout their lifecycle, advocating their appropriate and balanced use among healthcare professionals.
  • Adopt a systems-thinking approach overseeing the entire patient journey, unifying stakeholders around shared goals to co-design effective solutions.
  • Leverage local and network-wide expertise and resources as necessary, including cooperation with fellow PJPs.
  • Ensure that every interaction with Roche employees, products, and services within the ecosystem is positive and reinforcing.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Pharmacy or a related discipline; advanced qualifications in Life Sciences or an MBA are advantageous. Completion of CCXA Academy is preferred.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement capabilities, including collaboration with Technical Account Executives (TAEs) and organizations; experience working with Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams, with skills in devising cross-functional strategies and managing team execution highly valued.
  • Strong business insight, particularly in commercialization, medical affairs, and customer experience excellence.
  • Comprehensive understanding of patient journeys and associated treatments within specific disease areas, enabling specialist interaction.
  • Broad knowledge of Roche's current product range and future pipeline to contribute to forward-looking solutions.
  • Solid grasp of medical affairs approaches, including clinical research strategies and tactics.
  • Fluent command of both English and Arabic, verbal and written.
