About the Role and Employer
We are seeking a driven Pastry Chef to join the Hodson Bay Hotel team, located in Athlone and Bigmeadow, County Westmeath, Ireland. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pastries and desserts aligned with the current menu requirements.
- Stay informed about daily business operations and be aware of menu specials.
- Engage in menu planning activities.
- Ensure dishes are prepared and presented promptly and meet approved standards.
- Minimize food waste through proper portion control and cost-conscious practices.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene standards throughout the food handling and service process.
- Comply with HACCP standards in the kitchen and Food & Beverage outlets.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is functional and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a similar pastry chef role.
- A passion and background in pastry arts.
- Pastry qualification is preferred.
- Strong commitment to high-quality customer service and professional conduct.
- Attention to detail and adherence to standards.
- Adept at multitasking within a fast-moving environment.
