Role Overview

This role involves transporting passengers and providing logistic support by operating heavy vehicles and other assigned vehicles according to operational needs. The objective is to uphold superior operational standards consistent with company policies, customer airline ground handling agreements, and service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various passenger transportation vehicles including heavy and light buses following Airport Driving SOPs and health and safety protocols.
• Utilize system solutions and applications via assigned devices to facilitate passenger transport services.
• Conduct work practices that prioritize safety to prevent incidents, accidents, and service failures.
• Deliver courteous and professional customer service, including using automated stop-announcement systems and responding to passenger inquiries.
• Perform physical and customer assistance tasks like boarding/de-boarding, aiding passengers with special needs, handling baggage, and managing assigned vehicle operations.
• Plan flight transportation logistics proactively to ensure adequate preparedness and resource allocation.
• Maintain detailed records such as Passenger Services-Drivers Manifest Reports during shifts using both manual and real-time digital methods.
• Ensure vehicle safety and maintenance compliance with company processes and Airport Vehicle Operator Regulation Manual.
• Complete vehicle pre- and post-shift inspections and report any defects or discrepancies related to vehicle condition or equipment.
• File timely incident reports for any vehicle or driver-related accidents.
• Promptly communicate transportation issues to shift supervisors to ensure service continuity.
• Ensure vehicles are refueled and cleaned according to schedules.
• Operate vehicles transporting airside staff, baggage, and passenger coaches as per daily plans.
• Maintain clean, presentable, and roadworthy vehicles consistent with company standards.
• Comply with HIA AVORM/QAS Driving SOPs, bus routes, and operational policies at Doha and Hamad International Airports.
• Maintain personal grooming and hygiene per QAS guidelines.
• Communicate effectively through radio and telephone to coordinate tasks across airport locations.
• Behave professionally as a company representative within a diverse working environment, exercising sound judgment and ensuring safety and quality service delivery.
• Perform additional departmental duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Additional Information

• This is a fixed-term contract for three years.
• Work involves shifts totaling 48 hours per week with paid overtime if required.
• Allowances include transportation, company housing, uniform, laundry, and meals.
• Benefits include annual leave and flight privileges.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum education: High school diploma with at least one year of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree without prior experience.
• Required to possess a heavy vehicle driving license from home country and be capable of obtaining a Qatari heavy vehicle license and Airport Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP).
• Strong understanding of traffic safety laws.
• Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken.
• Exemplify professionalism in communication, service excellence, customer orientation, time management, respect, courtesy, ethical conduct, and personal integrity.
• Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and deliver top-quality service.
• Team player with a positive attitude towards cooperation and collaboration.
