Partnership Development Analyst - AI Data and Safety

Team Overview

The AI Data and Safety division is integral to advancing foundational Seed models and enhancing AI-specific applications built upon this model series. The team operates throughout the data lifecycle, from setting evaluation standards to translating user feedback and benchmarks into data needs, while establishing scalable procedures to elevate data quality and accelerate model improvements.

This multidisciplinary team merges technical and operational expertise, consisting of talent from product management, data engineering, and operations. Guided by individuals who analyze model behaviors, address complex challenges expeditiously, and have firsthand experience as both creators and users of AI models and agents, the team collaborates closely with Seed researchers, industry authorities, and leading data suppliers to solve complex data challenges, enhancing model efficiency and user satisfaction.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research on AI training data, tracking trends and technological progress to inform model training data requirements.
• Develop strategies for acquiring high-quality data resources by identifying and collaborating with startups and established data providers, establishing evaluation criteria, and expanding the supplier base to cultivate a reliable data ecosystem.
• Analyze market and supplier data to generate reports that assist in AI training, procurement, and strategic business decisions.
• Continuously identify potential new data sources and partners while fostering strong market connections to maintain access to advanced, quality datasets.
• Lead supplier onboarding through evaluation, qualification, and capability assessment, ensuring conformity with delivery standards and smooth integration.
• Manage commercial engagements with data suppliers including negotiations, contract formulation, cost management, and compliance checks, maintaining efficient and compliant partnerships.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure clear requirement communication, manage expectations, and guarantee on-time, high-quality data delivery aligned with project objectives.
• Maintain long-term supplier relationships, review performance, enhance management systems, and apply data-driven insights to improve collaboration and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business Management, Data Analytics, AI, Computer Science, or related disciplines; relevant internship or project experience in AI data is also considered.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in AI data services, sourcing, vendor management, or business development.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities with independent market research and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in supplier sourcing and channel development, with sound business judgment to align resources with business needs.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, adept at navigating complex, ambiguous environments.
• Basic project management expertise to plan, execute, and oversee supplier onboarding and delivery schedules with focus on quality and risk mitigation; skilled in data analysis and reporting.
• Highly adaptable, detail-focused, proactive, resilient under pressure, and collaborative in team settings.

Preferred: Familiarity with AI training data markets, different data types, and supplier networks; experience with leading AI data companies is advantageous.
