Painter and Polisher

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Polisher to apply finishes such as paint and stains to walls, ceilings, and furniture across the property. This role involves preparing surfaces through priming, sanding, and stripping, and ensuring high-quality finishes using various tools including brushes, rollers, and spray guns.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stains, and other finishes to surfaces like walls, ceilings, and furniture using appropriate methods and tools.
• Prepare new surfaces by applying primers or sealers before final finishing coats.
• Remove old finishes using techniques such as stripping, sanding, wire brushing, and abrasive blasting.
• Protect surrounding areas by covering surfaces with suitable materials and post necessary paint signage.
• Maintain cleanliness by storing paint supplies and tools in designated areas after use.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colors of paints, stains, or varnishes as needed.
• Adhere strictly to safety and security protocols, report any maintenance issues or hazards, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a professional and neat personal appearance, uphold confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Engage courteously with guests, anticipate their needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and foster a welcoming environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and support teamwork to achieve common goals.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as reaching overhead, bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds safely.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma is preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience performing similar painting and polishing work is required.
• No supervisory experience is necessary.
• No license or certification is required for this position.
