Job description
Overview
This position focuses on packaging and preparing materials and products within a manufacturing setting, requiring hands-on work onsite at our Uxbridge facility. Candidates must be fluent in English and hold a high school graduation certificate.
Responsibilities
- Verify and weigh raw materials and finished products accurately.
- Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products responsibly.
Experience and Specialization
- Experience in exhibit preparation involving shipping crates and forms is preferred.
- Familiarity with using saws and hand tools is required.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- The work environment is noisy and fast-paced.
- Tasks are repetitive and involve substantial physical effort, including handling heavy loads exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Workers are expected to maintain attention to detail, demonstrate hand-eye coordination, and stand for prolonged periods.
- The workload can be heavy and must often be done under pressure.
Transportation
- Applicants must have their own transportation as public transit options are unavailable.
Equipment Requirements
- Steel-toed safety boots are required to be brought by the employee.
