Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as an Overnight Lead Department Manager offers an excellent pathway to gain leadership experience in a vibrant, fast-moving retail setting. In this capacity, you will guide and support the overnight team, embodying Walmart’s core values. Key Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate overnight stocking tasks, aligning with priorities set by the Overnight Assistant Manager and day shift management.
• Evaluate merchandise presentation and overall store appearance to identify areas needing improvement and implement necessary merchandising and display adjustments to uphold store quality standards.
• Manage inventory issues by properly identifying defective or damaged products and transferring them to the claims area according to company procedures.
• Take charge of store safety and security in the absence of the Overnight Assistant Manager, including managing overnight incidents and accidents according to company policies.
• Conduct facility and security inspections to ensure all assigned sections meet safety and security requirements.
• Participate in the training and development of overnight associates to boost productivity and help achieve stocking and operational targets.
• Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule by being available for varied shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support store operations.

Challenges in This Role

• Handle a high volume of tasks efficiently within a fast-paced overnight environment, managing work hours and energy levels to maintain focus throughout shifts.
• Fulfill physically demanding duties including standing for long durations, bending, and lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties such as stocking, zoning, and product organization consistently to sustain store standards.

Compensation

The position starts at a minimum hourly rate of $19.25.
