Role Overview
As an Outbound Business Development Representative focusing on MSPs, you will drive high-quality sales pipeline within sizable MSP accounts. This strategic and research-oriented outbound role requires deep account penetration and collaboration with senior sales executives to multi-thread opportunities across technical and executive stakeholders. This role emphasizes thoughtful prospecting, personalization, and partnering closely with senior sellers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior and Strategic Account Executives to devise outbound strategies targeting named MSP accounts.
- Conduct detailed research on MSPs including their size, growth trends, operational maturity, and technology usage.
- Spot buying signals and prioritize outreach efforts accordingly.
- Develop structured, multi-touch outreach plans customized to individual accounts.
- Engage decision-makers such as Owners, CTOs, Directors of Operations, NOC Managers, and Service Delivery Leaders.
- Execute multi-channel outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Create personalized messaging that addresses MSP challenges like network visibility, alert exhaustion, scalability, and tool consolidation.
- Schedule qualified meetings aligned with ideal customer profiles and territory objectives.
- Maintain meticulous CRM records and detailed account notes.
Candidate Profile
- Proven outbound BDR experience, preferably in SaaS environments.
- Experience engaging with mid-market or enterprise-level accounts.
- Knowledge of complex buying groups and multi-threading sales strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to personalize outreach effectively.
- Adept at collaborating with senior sales personnel.
- Self-driven with ownership mindset, strategic thinking, and urgency.
- Thrives in performance-focused environments.
- Consistently generates qualified sales opportunities.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience selling to MSPs.
- Familiarity with network monitoring or IT tools.
- Understanding of MEDDPICC qualification frameworks.
