Order Picker

Job Overview

The Order Picker at The Restaurant Store supports the Order Fulfillment Manager in all stages of processing customer orders at a retail branch. This role involves precisely picking, consolidating, and placing orders while collaborating closely with the sales, inventory, and merchandising teams to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently pick, consolidate, and slot customer orders using pallet jacks, carts, or powered equipment
• Execute all order fulfillment activities to align with branch-level operational objectives
• Consistently achieve or surpass set accuracy and efficiency benchmarks
• Help maintain a tidy, well-organized, and safe workspace for order fulfillment
• Effectively communicate order discrepancies, status updates, and issues to the Order Fulfillment Manager
• Assist with additional tasks or projects delegated by management to ensure seamless operations and alignment with broader business priorities

Physical Demands

• The role requires standing and walking for up to 9 hours per day
• Effective communication using verbal, visual, and hearing senses is necessary
• Regular hand use for grasping and fine motor skills is needed
• Routine bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching are part of the job
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds

Experience and Qualifications

• No formal degree required; relevant skills and experience prioritized alongside alignment with company core values
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience using CRM systems and project management tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex ideas simply
