Delivery Driver

Job Overview

The Local Delivery Driver at The Restaurant Store is tasked with loading and delivering customer orders within the local area, ensuring excellent customer service throughout delivery routes. When delivery demand is low, the driver supports in-store order fulfillment duties to aid daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and load customer orders into the delivery vehicle according to delivery sequence.
• Complete assigned daily delivery routes utilizing company-approved software to identify order sequence.
• Maintain professional and courteous customer interactions while delivering products following company policies.
• Direct customer inquiries to sales personnel as needed.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and perform daily vehicle inspections aligned with company standards.
• Support additional management-assigned tasks to uphold smooth store operations and meet business objectives.
• Assist with other store operational tasks when necessary.

Physical Demands

• Job requires standing and walking for up to 9 hours per day.
• Effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing is crucial.
• Regular use of hands for basic grasping and fine manipulation tasks.
• Frequent bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching necessary.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 50 pounds.

Experience and Education

• Possession of a Class C driver’s license and a clean driving record is mandatory.
• No formal degree required; emphasis is placed on relevant skills, practical experience, and alignment with company values.
