Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Optometrist to perform thorough eye examinations and assist clients in identifying vision problems and choosing appropriate eye care solutions. This role involves working directly with customers in a retail environment to deliver personalized eye care recommendations and education.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vision assessments, including refraction and vision testing.
• Diagnose common vision disorders such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
• Prescribe suitable corrective eyewear, including spectacles and contact lenses.
• Detect early indicators of eye diseases and facilitate referrals to ophthalmologists when necessary.
• Evaluate customers' daily visual habits such as screen time, driving, and reading to tailor recommendations.
• Advise on specialized lenses including anti-glare, blue light filtering, and progressive lenses to meet individual needs.
• Assist clients in selecting frames that complement their facial features and ensure comfort.
• Provide guidance on proper lens care and promote awareness about maintaining eye health.

Candidate Requirements

• A recognized degree in Optometry (B.Optom, M.Optom, or Diploma in Optometry) is essential.
• Holding a valid optometry certification that permits practicing as a professional optometrist.
• Experience ranging from fresh graduates up to five years; those with solid foundational knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is advantageous.
• A customer-centric approach combined with professionalism and strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a retail store environment.

Additional Details

The role offers a salary range between 250000 to 500000 INR annually. Candidates at any experience level up to five years, including freshers, are welcome. Effective interpersonal skills and the willingness to engage customers directly are critical for success.
