Operations Manager

About the Role

Manforce Trading is looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead operational activities in Qatar. This position demands hands-on leadership to enhance operational delivery, oversee team responsibilities, manage workforce mobilization and demobilization processes, coordinate site activities, supervise camp and employee welfare, arrange transportation logistics, handle manpower supplier relationships, and drive continuous enhancement of procedures.

A critical objective includes modernizing and digitizing workflows using Odoo, automation, and suitable artificial intelligence tools to increase operational efficiency, transparency, cost management, and service quality.

This role requires strong ownership, a problem-solving mindset, the ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders including sites, clients, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and establish defined accountabilities, KPIs, and deadlines for team members.
• Carry out regular performance reviews and ensure timely completion of action items.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks such as manpower shortages or service delays.
• Promote a culture focused on ownership, urgency, discipline, and result orientation.
• Coordinate efficient workforce mobilization and demobilization aligned with client schedules, managing documentation, accommodations, transportation, PPE, inductions, and site access.
• Maintain visibility on manpower status across mobilization stages and manage replacements, transfers, absenteeism, and emergency redeployments.
• Work closely with client and site representatives to maintain dependable manpower delivery and promptly resolve operational complaints.
• Supervise workforce accommodation quality, camp upkeep, occupancy, security measures, discipline, and welfare needs.
• Manage transportation logistics, optimize route planning, improve vehicle usage, and ensure punctuality and cost efficiency.
• Maintain contingency plans for transport disruptions and urgent manpower movement.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and availability of necessary PPE and tools.
• Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse set of reliable local manpower suppliers to prevent dependency on any single vendor.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance regarding capacity, quality, pricing, documentation, responsiveness, and reliability, maintaining both preferred and backup vendors.
• Supervise vendors providing transport, accommodation, and workforce support to enable rapid scaling without compromising quality or cost control.
• Review and optimize operational workflows by eliminating bottlenecks and redundant manual tasks, developing standard operating procedures.
• Lead Odoo ERP implementation, ensuring systematic data capture, dashboard creation, reporting, and adoption across operations.
• Identify and apply automation and AI technologies to boost productivity, scheduling, reporting, manpower matching, and decision making.
• Oversee operational performance monitoring, cost management by minimizing inefficiencies, and collaborate cross-functionally with recruitment, HR, finance, sales, HSE, procurement, IT, and leadership teams.
• Report concise operational metrics, risks, and corrective action updates to management, supporting business scaling for client manpower needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, or related fields.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in operations especially within manpower supply, contracting, workforce services, facilities management, construction support, industrial services, or comparable labor-intensive sectors.
• Proven experience managing teams with clear accountability and operational delivery responsibility.
• Expertise in workforce mobilization, logistics, site operations, accommodation management, welfare, and transport coordination.
• Experience managing manpower suppliers and operational vendors effectively.
• Demonstrated capability in process improvement and SOP development.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or operational management systems; experience with Odoo preferred.
• Good knowledge of automation, data, and AI applications relevant to operations.
• Experience working in Qatar or GCC region is favored.

Additional Information

Employment is full-time, reporting to Founder and Managing Director of Manforce Trading, based in Qatar. Compensation will be aligned with candidate merit, experience, and role suitability. Fluency in English and Hindi is required.
