Operations Coordinator - Freight Forwarding

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in freight forwarding operations and will be responsible for managing various logistics activities to ensure timely and efficient shipment handling.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage coordination of both import and export shipments effectively.
• Oversee the preparation and management of shipping and freight forwarding documents.
• Maintain communication with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, and transporters.
• Track and follow up on shipment status, including booking confirmations, arrivals, and deliveries.
• Collaborate with WCA network partners and overseas agents to facilitate smooth operations.
• Prepare quotations and ensure shipment details are accurately managed and monitored.
• Address queries from customers and agents promptly to maintain satisfaction.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 2 to 4 years of professional experience in freight forwarding operations.
• Solid understanding of import/export regulations and shipping procedures.
• Preferably experienced in both sea freight and air freight handling.
• Familiarity with WCA networks or similar logistics networks is advantageous.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities to manage diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Preference for candidates who can join immediately and are currently located in Qatar.
