About the Role

Join Coates, Australia's premier equipment hire and solutions provider, as an Operations Coordinator on a 12-month parental leave contract based in Eagle Farm, Queensland. This role suits an individual who thrives in fast-paced settings, enjoys varied tasks, and is committed to excellent service while managing equipment, logistics, and operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete mobilisation of shutdown crews including onboarding processes, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring site compliance.
  • Manage medicals, training programs, inductions, and compliance documents to guarantee workforce preparedness.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, transportation, and facilitate site access for personnel.
  • Schedule and coordinate hire equipment alongside logistics to meet customer specifications.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, providing informed equipment solutions.
  • Handle purchase orders, invoices, timesheets, and administer related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of workforce and operational data, ensuring reporting and compliance standards are met.
  • Assist in contract fulfillment via document control and administrative coordination.
  • Support servicing schedules, conduct audits, and uphold Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships while consistently promoting a Safety First culture.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in equipment hire, construction, industrial sectors, or closely related fields.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities and relationship management skills.
  • Proven expertise in coordinating equipment, logistics, and operational activities efficiently.
  • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Practical understanding of small plant equipment and general mechanical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with major construction projects and site operational requirements.
  • Effective collaboration skills working with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach with commitment to continuous process improvements.
  • Dedication to maintaining safety and compliance standards consistently across tasks.
