Role Overview

Join the Coates team at Erskine Park as a Field Service Electrician, responsible for the upkeep and repair of electrical equipment components. Your work ensures all branch equipment is operational, compliant with safety standards, and prepared for hire. Collaboration with the mechanical team is essential to maintain electrical readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and maintenance of a diverse range of electrical plant and equipment at the branch.
• Conduct necessary electrical calibrations on equipment.
• Execute repairs adhering to trade standards to uphold high-quality workmanship.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and rectify issues efficiently.
• Communicate with customers to keep them informed about equipment servicing needs.
• Help maintain appropriate inventory levels of electrical spare parts.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Possession of a Mechanical Trade Certificate along with a minimum Restricted Electrical Licence or an “A” Grade Electrical Licence, coupled with strong mechanical skills.
• Proven ability in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on various construction-related equipment such as access platforms, materials handling machinery, power generators, dewatering units, and earthmoving devices.
• Customer-focused attitude.
• Forklift and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certifications are advantageous.
