Labourer

About the Role

CivilandScape is seeking an experienced general labourer with a background in landscape and civil works. The successful candidate will support various projects across Sydney's inner city and outer suburbs, including high-end residential developments and commercial high-rise buildings. We emphasize professionalism, diligence, and knowledge in our team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Support foremen, tradespeople, and team members in daily tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and construction waste.
• Assist in constructing walkways, patios, fences, walls, decks, and posts.
• Excavate trenches and clear land as necessary.
• Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns.
• Load and unload necessary materials, tools, and equipment for landscaping.
• Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and manual carrying methods.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on tools and machinery, including inspection, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Operate various equipment such as chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement tools, hammers, drills, and shovels.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ experience in landscaping, civil works, or a related field.
• Well-versed in Work Health and Safety Environment (WHSE) standards consistent with NSW regulations.
• Possession of a current NSW White Card.
• Professional presentation in attire and demeanor, especially when engaging clients or the public.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently without supervision.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.

Additional Information

• Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.
• Annual salary is competitive and dependent on experience.
