Job description

About the Role

We are collaborating with a dynamic and rapidly expanding Irish FMCG company to find a seasoned Operations & Supply Chain Coordinator. This role is ideal for a person who thrives in an energetic, fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting where no two days are alike, and you have the chance to significantly impact how the business scales and operates.

Your responsibility will include enhancing the structure, organization, and efficiency throughout supply chain, inventory, logistics, procurement, and overall business operations. Far from being just administrative, you will work closely with the founder and team, becoming crucial in ensuring suppliers, stock management, production, logistics, and projects progress smoothly.

Key Duties

  • Oversee daily supply chain operations including managing suppliers, deliveries, dispatch, and transport.
  • Assume full responsibility for stock oversight including inventory counts, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing partners to synchronize production with demand forecasts.
  • Manage purchase orders and collaborate with finance to control costs, budgets, and payments.
  • Monitor supplier lead times and proactively address any potential stock or supply chain disruptions.
  • Evaluate suppliers, pricing models, and operating procedures to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Maintain detailed product, ingredient, and packaging data.
  • Support new product development projects and manage product launches.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve operational challenges as they occur.
  • Organize events, trade shows, and promotional activations.
  • Continuously improve internal systems, documentation, and workflows to support business growth.
  • Serve as the dependable individual who ensures tasks reach completion efficiently.

Desired Background

Experience in FMCG or other fast-paced product-centric businesses is essential for this vacancy. Preferred sectors include:

  • FMCG / Food & Beverage
  • Craft breweries and beverage companies
  • Start-ups and scale-ups
  • Consumer goods industries
  • Food production or manufacturing
  • Other rapid product turnover enterprises

Applicants may currently hold roles in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or Business Coordination and seek a position with greater responsibility and ownership. Experience in start-ups or entrepreneurial ventures is advantageous, demonstrating comfort with evolving or imperfect processes and a proactive approach to organizing and improving workflows.

Candidate Traits and Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills paired with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A firm grasp of stock control, logistics, and supply chain fundamentals.
  • Commercially aware with confidence in handling numerical data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing focus on intricate details.
  • Problem recognition and mitigation skills to prevent escalation.
  • Self-reliant, assertive in taking ownership of tasks.
  • Proactive in designing processes and enhancing operational methods.
  • Practical, flexible, and willing to engage hands-on to meet business needs.
  • Thrives in a vibrant, fast-paced environment with a strong commitment to execution.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range from €50,000 to €60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
  • Bonus scheme offering 10% of salary.
  • Healthcare coverage and pension scheme effective after six months of employment.
  • Work location is based in Dublin West / Kildare with a hybrid arrangement (approximately two days per week onsite).
  • Flexible schedule options including a potential four-day workweek.

Opportunity Highlights

This position offers a chance to join a growing company at a pivotal phase, affording genuine opportunities to influence how the business evolves. The role promises autonomy, cross-functional exposure, and possibilities for significant career advancement as the company expands. If you have experience within FMCG, food & beverage production, craft brewing, or entrepreneurial fast-paced product businesses, this role could be an excellent fit.
